Canon I don't have strong canon feelings on shipping with Joe! Joe/Sara, Joe/Ryoko, and Joe/Sara/Ryoko are all good in my book though, and I'm down to play them! As for other characters, it'll mostly just depend on whom! Generally I don't like playing big age gaps, though. Just ask if you're unsure!
Cross Canon Generally I play Joe on the bi/pan spectrum with a strong preference for girls. Age gaps are a pretty big discomfort for me, so I ask characters stick around the ages of 15-19*. But so long as they seem like a good fit, I'm pretty open to lots of kinds of characters!
Dating Joe's a guy who likes to go out on dates for sure even if he doesn't have a lot of money (he'll still treat). But despite his gaudy appearance, he's actually pretty shy. He considers holding hands to be a big step in a relationship. He will try to play off his shyness as a joke and laugh it off, though.
But Joe's a deeply caring guy. He'll go out of his way for people who are special to him. So while he might do it with a blushing face, he'll be a super kind, playful partner.
